Tasmanian Devil, where are you?

We’ve had a good two days in Melbourne (pronounced "Mel-bun", not "Mel-born") yesterday and Burnie, Tasmania today. Burnie has only been 13C, so a bit chilly, but the sun was nice. For such a small town, they really rolled out the red carpet for us.

These "paper people" were at the Maker's Workshop, Burnie
where they make paper from "roo poo" and "wombat poo"...
and you know I bought some!!

At the beach in Burnie
just after sticking our toes in the
Indian Ocean
We just pulled out of the harbour from Burnie and are enroute to Hobart where we will arrive tomorrow at noon. Our last excursion is tomorrow. It’s something really different. It’s called "Louisa’s Walk" and is a theatrical tour...more about that in my next blog entry. We overnight in Hobart before our last sea day and then returning to Sydney on Wednesday. It’s hard to believe we’re almost done. Has it really been 4 weeks so soon??

WHAT I LEARNED TODAY: I guess I’m a "hard core gambler". The Crown Casino in Melbourne was HUGE, and it was just as described...not pretty...just a casino. But, it was also the only casino that I really liked of all that I’ve seen in Australia. The fact that I won $400 has nothing to do with it!!
