So its not been an illustrious first day on the work site for me...I've picked up the wrong staples for the staple gun at Kents, and then I lost the cell phone in the yard. Fortunately I found it...moments before the excavator buried it under a ton of dirt...and now I'm off to Kents for another supply run...if I get this order wrong, it'll be my 3rd strike...I may just be OUT...banned from the work site and labeled more a hindrance than a help!! But I think I'll get it right this time....just like when I was a kid going to the store for my mother...this time I got a note from my builder ;)
WHAT I LEARNED TODAY: Just checking out a "roll call", which for you non-cruisers is a site where fellow passengers can exchange e-mails and info about excursions, etc, and I learned a very interesting detail. The Princess cruise ship we are on in September is based in Australia. And for anyone that's traveled to Australia, you'll remember that tipping is a no-no there. So, six months ago Princess initiated a "no tipping" policy on the ship. As some of you may know, tipping on most cruise ships is obligatory, and some will even bill your on-board account to ensure you do tip. Tips can run you around $15/passenger/day, so for Kier and I on a 28 day cruise....this new policy will save us BIG!!
